Spring has finally arrived on our pastures, and our cows, after a winter of eating hay, are excited to fill their bellies with beautiful green grass. Turning the cows out to pasture is a joyful ritual in the pastoral world, for both cows and their human companions: the cows and their calves (40 so far) run and frolic for a fast minute, and then get down to some serious eating!

Sadly, this year, our fellow farmers in Ukraine are not able to celebrate this joyful rite, indeed they are not even able to plant their crops. So, we are inviting you, dear customers, to come and share the joy with our cows on Friday April 15 at 3 pm. We will not require reservations, but request that you make a donation to World Central Kitchens, our colleagues who are currently feeding the refugees in and around Ukraine. This organization has been on the ground during crises all over the world, feeding displaced folks when they need support.

We'll gather in front of the farm store at 3, and hike up to the pasture together. Please wear sturdy shoes that can get a bit of mud on them!
